The RASIT Science in Braille Global Initiative invites professionals, researchers, practitioners, and experts—regardless of ability—to contribute to the first-of-its-kind edited volume on Accessibility and Inclusion in STEM. This pioneering book will showcase cutting-edge research, policy analysis, and practical case studies that advance equitable access to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education and careers.
Scope and Themes
We seek chapters that explore, but are not limited to, the following topics:
- Accessibility of education and scientific resources
- Inclusion of disabled professionals in the STEM workforce
- Multisensorial design for events, laboratories, and public spaces
- Legal frameworks, policy development, and international diplomacy
- Innovations in scientific research and sustainable development
- Economic empowerment through inclusive technology and entrepreneurship
- Intersections of humanities, arts, and STEM accessibility
Submission Guidelines
- Abstract (300–400 words) outlining objectives, methodology, and key findings
- Full chapter (6,000–8,000 words), including figures and references, formatted in APA style
- Brief author biography (100 words) with contact information
- Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere
Timeline
- Abstract deadline: December 31, 2025
- Notification of acceptance: January 31, 2026
- Full chapter deadline: April 15, 2026
- Anticipated publication: July 2026
